As Frosty the Snowman once said, to paraphrase, the season is melting away. It was another devastating loss for the Terps this time at Boston College. Maryland loses 20-17.
This is the second week in a row that a game that was won, ends up being lost. Last week the Terps missed a short field goal with 2 seconds left to lose 20-18. This week, after a short catch by Diggs turns into a long touchdown and a 17-13 Terps lead, the defense gives up a long game closing touchdown drive. Last week I was crushed at the end of the game, this week flattened would be the feeling.
After the All-Access Maryland Basketball immersion program, including getting up at 5:55am to do the radio Show, I was out with the family at IKEA in College Park. I was in the car waiting for it to go our way and when Diggs scored, it was finally time to go in the store. Mason puts on his Terps jersey and off we go through the parking lot.
I was watching/listening to the game on the smartphone. I was so engaged that I got lost in IKEA. I was recovered by one of the Littles who had to find me. I made it as far as the office furniture section when I decided to just sit there and finish the game. Between ScoreMobile, Twitter and Johnny Holiday I could feel it happening. And then we lost, or they won.
Mason and I went flat, lifeless. Connie told us to just go home. We lasted 5 more minutes and had to leave.
Thumpty, thump, thump, the season is starting to melt away.

Streak of unbelievable bad luck for the Terps.
Just when it seems it can not get much worse…
I still have confidence in the kids and coaching staff. Still feel optimistic for the near and long term future. Certainly will have a surplus of QB’s next year, with he new recruits and returning wounded.
No one really had great expectations for this team at the beginning of the season, as they over performed.
Now I think we will start to see the development of depth that has been lacking..

with and already very tight budget i’m afraid some of these injured players will have to share the use of crutches.
