No this game is not a predictor of how the season will go. Though stacked with the best recruits in the country, Kentucky’s team is just getting used to knowing each other
Nerlens Noel is a force to be reckoned with. how the Terrapins handle him will go along way to deciding the outcome. But Maryland has its own X factor and that of course is Dez Wells. Normally one might worry how his first Terrapin game might go but not me. Dez is ready for Prime Time and will deliver tonight. I do believe the Barclay Center will be a sea of red tonight. It’s good to be back!!!!!!

in some ways this game reminds me of saturday dec 1, 1973..md vs ucla. at that time md was on the rise though still looking for national respect and exposure. don’t forget there was no cable, no espn, no internet and very, very few people had a remote control for their tv. phone booths were everywhere. when the word “cell” was mentioned it usually meant something about biology. we had to walk 20 miles in the snow to go to school. gas was 39 cents a gallon. oakland and the orioles were the best teams in the a.l. ucla was number one. every year they where number one. starting in 1964 they won 10 championships in 12 years. md lost that game on 12-1-73 with a chance to win in the final seconds. TONIGHT MARYLAND WINS!!!!!!!!!!
