feldman is more than likely a 4th or 5th man in the rotation. his nl numbers this year were pretty good but it’s easier to pitch in the n.l. he throws between 88-90 and is a sinker ball pitcher. he is a finese pitcher who needs to get ahead in the count which makes his curve and off speed pitches more effective and allows him to slip in his fastball. if he falls behind in the count and has to throw is fstball he’s ususally going to be in trouble. he needs to have extremely good command of his pitches to be successful. he’s the kinda of pitcher who has one really good game, a decent game, a below average game and a bad game. i wouldn’t count on him to have 3 good starts out of every 4 starts. he didn’t cost the o’s much because they weren’t going to use arieta adns strop and feldman is a free agent after this year so they’re not responsible for his salary after the year. he was worth the shot to see if he could give them better than what they currently have.
