Stefon Diggs Named to the Maxwell Award Watch List

University of Maryland sophomore Stefon Diggs has been named to the Maxwell Award watch list as announced by the National College Football Awards Association (NCFAA) on Tuesday. The Maxwell Award is given annually to the nation’s top collegiate football player.

Diggs is one of 76 players to be selected and is one of 10 sophomores on the watch list. Semifinalists will be announced on Oct. 26 with the finalists to be announced on Nov. 25. The winner will be announced on Dec. 12 at the Home Depot College Football Awards.

In 2012, Diggs led the ACC and ranked eighth nationally in all-purpose yards with 172.4 per game and ranked fifth in the league with 77.1 receiving yards per game en route to earning second team All-ACC honors.
