No it’s not a classic but it’s 2 1/2 hours of enjoyable entertainment with a knockout cast—-Johnny Depp is brilliant as Tonto, William Fichtner (Prison Break) stands out as outlaw Butch Cavendish,Colin Wilkinson, Helen Bonham Carter, Barry Pepper (Sixty One). Sometimes the movie can be too creative but when it breaks into the William Tell Overture, I felt like 10 again watching Clayton Moore and Jay Silverheels .

when it takes 2 hours before you hear the theme song, the best theme song of all time, it has to be a lousy movie. sadly the lone ranger will be the biggest flop of the year. and that’s sad because it is the lone ranger. there has yet to be a good movie based on this iconic tv show. when are they going to make a movie based on sky king?
