On CJ BrownÂ
CJ is a young man who has tremendous confidence in his own ability through his hard work and preparation…the players arond him see how he handles himself and his business…it brings a sense of calmness and confidence to everybody else, along with the way he’s performing… It just seems like the game is vry slow for him….he’s got everything under control and he’s operating at an outstanding level and is very smooth. hopefully that will continue…he’s in grad school, he’s the old man on the team, the level of maturity is there…he’s one of those guys that feels like he has something to prove. after injury there were people that doubted him, so he kept his mouth shut and worked hard …
On defense picking off 4 passes
I think it goes back ot guys’ confidence…the guys that have those picks, Dexter, he put himself in good position, isaac goins, same thing; he has a year in the system…sean davis, putting himself in position based on film study…and hte tipped ball with yannick…it’s guys being in proper positin and playing faster becuase guys are confident and have exerience
On UConn return…
I have a lot of great memories of the field, a lot of good games there and fan support… it’s something i’m looking forward to and gettung prepared ….nothig but great memories…but you have to put that behing you and hte focus has to be on playing the best game you can
On reception expected
anytime you go on the road they’re going to boo you and not like you. i wouldn’t expect anything different…there will be some like my golfing buddies that might cheer for us..i told our guys the focus has to be on us
