Some observations of a Terrapin victory with an unusual sub plot:
With the victory the Terps (8-9 in Conference Play)avoid the dreaded Wednesday game in the ACC Tournament
The Terps outscored Virginia Tech 36-18 in the 2nd half to win easily.
After Mitchell left the game, Shaq Cleare might have had his best spell as a Terp.
Layman bounced back with a decent performance tonight hitting 4 treys and finishing with 13 points.
Post game, Mark Turgeon was vague n what had transpired with Charles Mitchell, but it was crystal clear that Turgeon was upset .
Mitchell’s status for Sunday’s game is uncertain.
