Rough Start To Big Day For Men’s Lacrosse and Basketball

Just a brutal Lax loss for Maryland today. When you dominate the face off X 13-3, you are supposed to win –not get dominated and defeated by a score of 8-5 that did not tell the story of the game. The groundballs were also controlled by Maryland. Yale is a great defensive team but to Be The Best, 5 goals is never going to get the job done. The only bright spot was that Freshman FOGO Henningsen was back and fabulous. Next up : Notre Dame in Cali.

Josh Jackson has eliminated the Terps from his short list while Sparty and Arizona still remain. No real shock but major disappointment.

The women held on to defeat #5 Carolina 8-7 behind 4 goals from Megan Whittle.

37 minutes to forget the lacrosse game and get ready mentally for Purdue. Purdue is a 4 point favorite and most of the “experts” pick them to win. My gut tells me 68-65 Terps. Melo might need 20 for the Terps to prevail.

Same old story for men’s LAX, no offense. Thru the years the Terps had a good defense but where hes the offense been. No National tittles since Coach Beardmore in the 70’s.

Great win for women’s LAX! The only National tittle Maryland will win again this year. I believe they have won more National tittles they any other school by far, with 10 tittles, and can make it three in a row this year.
