The O’s move to 80-65, just 1 game behind Boston after Kevin Gausman bests Rick Porcello 1-0 at Femway. Should I repeat that. Gausman is now one of the hottest pitchers in baseball. The O’s have 17 games left and sit alone on top of the wild card race. But there is no rest for the weary as Tampa comes to Camden Yards in the 1st of a 4 game series.

gausman is becoming the pitcher you hoped for in the 4th pick in the draft.
jimenez is in a good groove. i expect him to pitch well, not perfect, but well the rest of the way.
i’m concerned that bundy is tired physically and mentally and hoping that this much work after 3 years of basically not throwing and having surgery/rehab isn’t going to hurt him long term,,,,,but if he’s good to go he’s always capable of keeping you in the game and tillman came back off the dl to give you 6 shutout innings.
all of a sudden the starting pitching looks pretty good overall. and that helps the bullpen.
the hitting is fine…last night timely…and the defense is good.
one game out in mid september. right now a playoff team…. what else could you want if you’re an orioles fan.
