Just my take on this game:
I lost a lot of respect for Kyle Shanahan and Ryan–Why?
Because this game was over twice.
#1 Up 28-12 on 3rd and 1 on their 30 gets stripped sacked. Game changer
#2 What’s even more stupid were the calls when Atl (up 28-20) was in short FG range with the clock running down and continued to pass–resulting in a sack and a holding penalty that took the Falcons out of FG range. KNEE KNEE FG —Game over
2 unbelievable catches ——by Julio Jones on sidelines and the assisted foot catch by Edelman
Over/Under 58 1/2 incredibly went over and yes the Patriots covered
2 2 point conversions by the Patriots unbelievable
When I was at the Ravens 49ers SB 47 and the Ravens were up 28-13 but the game was turning quickly–I remarked to lose the SB but quite another to blow the biggest lead in SB history. Great calls by Dean Pees and defense by Jimmy Smoth saved Baltimore the humiliation that Atlanta now has to deal with.
With 5 rings and generating this kind of comeback at age 39 let there be no doubt we have witnessed the Greatest of All TIme. This performance by Brady was mind boggling.
