By Bruce Posner – Of course like all Baltimoreans, I was devastated during and after the game against the Titans. How could this happen? How could we be punished for our hopes and desires? Why did this happen to the greatest kid to come to Baltimore in 30 years–Lamar. Because at the end of a day it’s just a game and if you are a little bit off to a good team you can lose.
But in retrospect as I look back on the season, it was like the Ravens had to win 8 key games in a rown down the stretch. They never let us down. Seattle on the road, Houston and the 48ers at home–on and on.
#8 was brilliant, the most exciting player to come to Bmore since that last QB from Louisville–you know #19. Lamar has lifted the city with his passion for victory, his love of the team, and most of all his extreme likability. The Ravens have landed a gem and there are many great years ahead of us.
So as the rest of the sports world revels in our misery, don’t look at the few teams left ahead of us–look at the many miserable, losing franchises behind us. “Woo Woo.”
