Alex was much more aggressive tonight landing a double double with 16 points and 13 bounds. Alex has to learn to keep the ball up at all times as he continues to get stripped.

Freshman Charles Mitchell came off the bench and scored a season-high 19 points and Maryland extended its winning streak to 11 games by beating Delaware State 79-50 Saturday.

Dez Wells and freshman Seth Allen each scored 10 points for the Terrapins (11-1). Mitchell also had 14 rebounds for his third double-double.

Maryland has not lost since falling to then-No. 1 Kentucky 72-69 in the season opener. The current winning streak is Maryland’s longest in 10 years.
