Basketball starting, Trevon a Terp? and the offensive line coming together – all good things as the calendar turns to November.
Trevon Diggs could be a Terp on Saturday. Looks like with Locksley offering Trevon as a wide receiver as opposed to a defensive back, Trevon is ready to pull the trigger to the Terps.
Maryland needs to find some defensive back help. Terps need it right now, but also need to recruit some corner backs.

First, a mea culpa. The events of this report resulted from a rather hasty and last minute decision. Hence, I neglected to take my camera so no photos accompany this story. (Yes, my mobile phone has a photo function but it’s not a good one and I don’t use it.)
When I was in college or probably even into my forties, this venture would have qualified as a cool road trip. At 61 and accompanied by my 74 year old … Read More »

I didn’t expect that the Terps would win. I picked the game 30-17 Iowa. The Terps fell 31-15 to a now 8-0 Iowa Hawkeyes team that plays sound, smart and tough football.
Perry Hills, while adding excitement and hope to the Maryland offense, can not throw the ball well enough for Maryland to win a game of consequence. The interceptions, three on the day, made sure that Maryland would lose. Perry’s running, over 100 yards for the … Read More »

There’s 50/50 balls that you have to hope that half of them come down on our end. Last week, that didn’t happen. I thought the Penn State receivers did an excellent job of going up … Read More »

A day of NFL football has not been enough to take my mind off of the Terps game on Saturday –
The atmosphere was there, a pro stadium, fans from opposing teams sitting next to each other, a game down to the wire and a heated rivalry. Another close loss to Penn State.
Did the game really live up to what I thought I saw? Probably not. Maryland had too many turnovers and blown … Read More »
Once again Perry is taking too much heat. 2 of the 3 interceptions were meaningless. One pinned PSU down at the 3 and the the other was a desperate 4th down attempt that was better then falling incomplete.
I thought Perry was great overall, as was the offense. A 30 point effort should usually result in a victory but not yesterday.
Like the Ravens, inabilty to finish drives and the lack of a secondary caused the loss.
Franklin expressed surprise … Read More »
