The Maryland football family was saddened to learn of the passing of Roy Martine, a member of the 1951 Terrapin team that won the Sugar Bowl over Tennessee. Martine, a four-year member of the Maryland football team, was 86.

Born March 12, 1929, Martine grew up in East Orange, New Jersey but lived most of his adult live in Richmond, Virginia.
