Some comments while trying to figure out how such a low scoring game took 3 1/2 Hours to Play:

After giving up a 73 yard TD on a missed assignment, the Terps allowed only 168 yds on 66 offensive plays. There was a trendous goal line stand highlighted by a soaring hit from the program cover young man, Eric Franklin. Again if you have any doubts about the quality of … Read More »

Kickoff: Saturday, 3:30 p.m. ET (ESPNU).

Watchability: Maryland opens up ACC play while Wake Forest is coming off a disappointing home loss to Duke. There will be quite a few teams hovering around the bowl eligibility mark in the ACC. Both teams can ill-afford to lose Saturday if they want to get to six wins.

Shining Stars: Wake Forest: QB Tanner Price (211 yards per game, 5 touchdowns, 4 interceptions) will have to pick up … Read More »

Some comments on an overall good day at Morgantown:

Okay we lost but remember this was the #8 team in the country. To me it was unbelievable that Tavon Austin was able to catch 13 passes for 179 yards and 3 TDs. He has to be just an incredible talent because to do this when the whole world … Read More »

“We’ve got a tough one this week, that’s for sure. [West Virginia] is ranked No. 8 in the country, going down to Morgantown which is not a real good place to play from the standpoint of the noise and everything else. But we’re looking forward to the challenge of going up against the air-raid offense. Geno Smith, Stedman Bailey and Tavon Austin and Joe Madsen the center, who is a really good player. They’re averaging over 600 yards a game, … Read More »

On protecting quarterback Perry Hills:
“We are going to have to take a look at the things we saw today and figure out how we can help him. It might be about protections. We will evaluate our personnel but I don’t see anything from a personnel standpoint that we would do. We have to keep coaching … Read More »

I had to search the internet to find a site that Picked The Terps. Here’s the theory that bugs me—Temple was a 10 1/2 point favorite last week and when the Terps won the first expression from non-Terp fans was Temple was no good. So much for the vaunted Temple rushing game.
