On the play of the freshman quarterbacks:

“I thought Perry [Hills] had a good day. I thought he did some good things. Of course there’s going to be plenty of things that he could learn from, and get better, but I think that we didn’t have any issues with delay of game, really didn’t have any false starts. When you talk about the mechanics and the operation of the offense I thought he handled it really well. I thought Caleb … Read More »

Terp fans, we have the real deal!!! Stefon had a 68 yard TD punt return, a 98 yard Kickoff return, and a 11 yard TD reception—all in the first half.

Quarterback Perry Hills impressed, as did freshmen running backs Albert Reid and Wes Brown. Hills, running the first-team offense in a game-like situation for the first time, led the Terps on an 18-play, 76-yard touchdown drive to open the scrimmage. The freshman went 5 of 6 for 27 yards on the drive … Read More »

Some reactions:
Freddy, the eternal optimist, speaks of how a rookie can be loose especially a potential gunslinger like Perry Hills.

Rick, who I informed about 3 o’clock was speechless. As MGN President Rick pours his heart into this team He caught my despair in the message I left. Of course that was more of my feeling sorry for CJ. … Read More »

On his concerns entering camp:
“The biggest thing on my mind is coming out of preseason camp healthy. Offensively, we know we have guys in Kevin Dorsey and Kerry Boykins who are reliable and we can trust them. But who is the third and fourth receiver who will step up? At tailback we have Justus Pickett as a guy who has played but who will be his backup, will it be Brandon RossWes BrownJoe Riddle or Albert Reid? Those guys have … Read More »
