Looks like Judgment Day is Sept 8. Lots of talk about Maryland Football. We shall see.
It’s a great day to be a Terp. What a honor I had last night to be on the podium with Haed Coach Randy Edsall when he was officially called about the announcement that Stefon Diggs, the #6 player in the country had decided to attend the university of Maryland on a football scholarship. This is the highest ranked recruit Maryland has ever had.
Stefon had been recruited by over 30 schools but his decision came down to Auburn, Florida, … Read More »
Rumor now has it that he will announce his decision at Looney’s at College Park at 6PM. I like the location.
Wow if indeed Stefon does commit to Maryland, he will instantly become a folk hero in this state. It will certainly be the the biggest moment in Maryland football recruiting history. 3 players from Good Counsel–the 4th best high school team in the land. But let’s not celebrate yet. But the receiving legacy would continue Vernon, Darrius, Torrey—Stefon—pretty good … Read More »
This was in the Columbus Distch –in their Buckeye extra section
“As of (last night), I believe Maryland is the team to beat,” Mike Farrell of Rivals.com said. “They’ve got that home-field advantage. To choose another school at this point is going to be difficult for him.”
3 days left until decision day. Vernon Davis—DHB—Torrey and hopefully Stefon. Danny O’Brien certainly helped Torrey get the Ravens deal and Stefon he can do the same for you.
Yes MGN President Rick Jaklitsch is my good friend and Co host of my Saturday Terp Talk Show on 1580 AM. But being completely candid, the presentation put on last night at the Stamp Center was magnificent. The atmosphere was electric, the food was super, the silent auction was was great for all the memorabilia guys, but most important the presentation of the recruiting class galvanized the entire room.
Coach Edsall was estemely upbeat emphasizing how he was able to … Read More »
Maryland head football coach Randy Edsall announced Wednesday the addition of 24 recruits for the 2012 season, 20 of whom signed national letters-of-intent.
The class includes both 12 offensive and defensive players, with 11 of the prospects hailing from the Maryland/Washington, D.C., area, more than double last year’s total, and five incoming players labeled as four-star recruits.
“I’m excited about the depth and quality of this class,” Edsall said. “All of these student-athletes are outstanding individuals who come from winning programs, … Read More »

Well it’s after midnight on Feb 1 and sometime later today DJ Reader will make his final decision as to whether it’s Maryland or Clemson. The rumor mill is swirling, changing minute by minute. Stefon Diggs has put his decision off until Feb 10 which might bode well for the Terps . No matter what happens with either recruit, Randy Edsall and his staff can only be praised for their tremendous efforts. Look, Wes Brown, Mike Maderas, Kenneth Goins from … Read More »
This is according to terrapin times.com. For Maryland this would be along with his teammates Wes Brown and Mike Maderas from Good Counsel, one of most important commits it has had in a decade. For Florida it’s just another 5 Star.
