A week after the Maryland offense controlled the first scrimmage, the defense held the upper hand in the second and final full scrimmage of the preseason Monday at Capital One Field at Byrd Stadium.  Two defensive scores – one on a 21-yard interception return by Dexter McDougle and the other on a 22-yard fumble return by Trenton Hughes – highlighted a sound performance by the defense in the 125-play scrimmage which featured possessions at the offense’s 5- and 25-yard line, … Read More »

Florida, Bama, USC, Ohio State, Texas never settle for one 4 star at any position. Many factors play into who becomes the star at the factories. Local guys—go to College Park and this will never happen to you. And remember there is a pretty … Read More »

This is a genuine 4 star and we are glad to have the 6’2 194 lb wide receiver. Adrian starred at QB for City College and was obviously unhappy with the football situation at Urban Meyer’s Florida Gator team.

Cornerback Nolan Carroll was still a college kid at Maryland when he watched former Dolphins kick returner Ted Ginn Jr. take those two kickoffs back for touchdowns against the New York Jets last year.Carroll definitely took notice. It was a reminder of the possible impact a special teams player can have on a game. “It was amazing,” said Carroll, now a rookie … Read More »

This was great news for the Terps. Hopefully Cameron will be back in time for the Navy game. The Terrapins need his leadership on the field. Look for a great year from Cameron.

A terrible break for Will and the Terps. No spring practice and now very little preseason work, but you know what–I still believe that Will can be a factor this year.  A bad break for a great athlete.

Chism’s ststus is unknown at this time. He had a great spring and had clearly emerged as a starting corner.
