Kathy and myself journeyed to New York on Wednesday for the afternoon Matinee showing of perhaps the biggest hit Broadway has seen—-Hamilton. Yes the tickets were expensive, though I got a pretty good deal from a New York broker, after hours of searching. Our friends who had seen the show just raved and raved. Now I am certainly not a Patron of the Arts but I have seen my fair share of shows on Broadway, in Bmore, San Francisco, Vegas, … Read More »

The O’s were in a tailspin—another loss would have dropped the O’s to 5 games behind Toronto. Unbelievably, Ubaldo pitched a strong game keeping the O’s in the game and Matty Wieters sealed the deal. 16,000 attended the game? Zach Britton picked up the save with a 1 hit 9th inning.

So the O’s are 72 —60. To win 90 the O’s would have to go 18–12

A fantastic performance by DeNiro as the legendary manager Ray Arcel highlights the movie. The story reflects of how Panama embraced  its Champion.

For those of you who are too young to know, the fight covers excellently the pair of grudge fights between Sugar … Read More »

Tommy Hunter is back! Never again as a closer but his history as a set up man is pretty good.  But today it was all about Kevin Gausman. With Tillman out, and Bundt faltering, and our next 3 starters being Miley, Ubaldo, and Gallardo this game had to be won. The O’s are now 71-59 with 32 games left. To achieve the playoffs my guess is that it will take at least 90 wins. The O’s would have to 19-13. … Read More »
