This is London’s fourth season as head coach at Virginia, where his record is 18-24. The Ball State game drew fewer than 40,000 fans to Scott Stadium, and many UVa supporters are unhappy with the state of the football program.
London overhauled his staff after the 2012 season, hiring new coordinators for offense (Steve Fairchild), defense (Jon Tenuta) and special teams (Larry Lewis). He remains confident those changes will pay dividends for a team that has few … Read More »

Top-ranked Maryland field hockey shut out Hofstra, 6-0, Tuesday night at the Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex to move to 12-0 on the year. Senior captain Ali McEvoy and junior Maxine Fluharty led the way with two goals each.
“We’re very pleased with the temperament, the mentality and the dominance of the play we came out with,” head coach Missy Meharg said. “As a coach, when you play a game like we played in Chapel Hill, you’re kind of concerned in your … Read More »
Senior Patrick Mullins tallied the lone goal as the No. 5 Maryland men’s soccer team escaped No. 2 Notre Dame with a 1-1 draw Tuesday.
Maryland (5-2-4, 4-0-2 ACC) was keyed by a tremendous defensive effort as the Terps kicked off the first leg of their most difficult road trip of the year. Freshman Zack Steffen racked up five saves to anchor the effort against Notre Dame (6-0-4, 3-0-3 ACC).

There’s a new look to practice in College Park.
The practice field next to Byrd Stadium hosted a lively day of competition last Tuesday morning, on a warm sunny day open to members of the media. Practice had a more fun, looser tone than the previous three years under coach John Tillman, and competition and high tempo were stressed more than ever before under his reign.

The ACC refs and Commissioner Swofford must review the play and act accordingly. Jacobbi Mcdaniel should be suspended immediately for hitting the QB
After the whistle
Leading with the crown of his helmet
And basically hitting the QB when CJ was in a defenseless position
My expectations—nothing will happen
The hatred for Maryland from the ACC is pretty obvious and there will be other examples as the year goes by.
Good Riddance To THE ACC
As I watched the replay last night of the Ravens Miami game there was something that struck my eye, made me think of a few years back for validation, and warmed my heart at the same time.
As the game ended I noticed that John Harbaugh was running around the field telling whatever players he could find to go over and thank the Baltimore fans for making the trip down. He truly was touched by the 20,000 Ravens fans who … Read More »
MIAMI GARDENS -Being the reigning Super Bowl champion has its perks, but nobody ever said it came with home-field advantage on the road.
But that is what the Baltimore Ravens claim they got inside Sun-Life Stadium on Sunday, where a conservative estimate of those attending the Dolphins-Ravens game would guess at least half of the crowd in attendance were Ravens fans.
Even Ravens coach John Harbaugh thanked the fans for being loud during the Dolphins’ 26-23 fourth-quarter victory.
“I couldn’t believe it. How many … Read More »
