  A.J. Casario signed with the White Sox on June 23rd, and is on the Bristol White Sox, one of the two rookie league affiliates Chicago has.  He signed after being drafted in the 38th round by the White Sox, three years after being drafted in the 27th round by the Dodgers.  So Casario will not be returning to Maryland for his senior season.   Swinson has yet to be signed, and he has been playing with the Youse’s Orioles again … Read More »

Dave Vatz reports that AJ Cesario, Terrapin switch hitting outfielder has been selected in the 38th round by the White Sox, overall the 1153rd player selected. Cesarion batted 319 with 10 homers and 45 rbi. he had been projected to go much higher in the draft.

According to terrapintimes.com, Terry Rupp will not be back at the helm of Maryland Baseball in 2009. Most of Debbie Yow’s latest hirings have turned previously dormant programs around so I am anxious to see who she selects. The Terps finished 27-27 in 2009.
