This trade makes some sense. I like Zydrunas more then Brendan–he might be the only keeper. Perhaps Ernie can find a non-Euro to draft in the 1st round. Greivis? Jamison is a great player but more important a great guy. I am sorry to see him go.

The death of their Abe Pollin put some perspective into the Wizards internal bickering as the Caron Butlerless Bullets eked out a 1 point win over Philly. Butler and Arenas are at odds lately which hopefullt can be cured with a couple of Ws. Some reaction to Abe’s death from ESPN.com:

Let’s see King James has 12 points and 7 assists inthe 1st quarter. The guy owns the Verizon Center.Antawn is back and had 13 in the first quarter—Cavs 35 Bullets 22. Randy Foye also returned to the lineup tonight, so the Wiz basically have their opening day lineup back. Despite a poor start, I believe they will be fine.
The following is a press release I received today from the Wizards: “Washington Wizards President Ernie Grunfeld announced today that forward Antawn Jamison’s right shoulder has been re-evaluated and that the findings were consistent with the original diagnosis of a subluxation. He is expected to miss from four to six weeks from the date of the injury (Jamison sustained the injury in the Wizards’ 109-104 win in Cleveland on Oct. 14).” Can this team ever get a break?

I happen to have been in LA this past weekend visiting my kids and wandered over to the Staples Center for Game 1 of the Lakers Denver series.
