Five University of Maryland men’s lacrosse seniors were selected in the 2011 Major League Lacrosse (MLL) Collegiate Draft. Long pole Brian Farrell was the highest pick, being selected with the 12th overall selection by the Boston Cannons. Senior attackman Grant Catalino headlines a group of six Maryland men’s lacrosse players that were named to the annual Inside Lacrosse Face-Off Yearbook preseason All-America teams. Catalino earned a first team selection, while senior defender Brett Schmidt and senior attackman Ryan Young were second and third team honorees, respectively.
