The No. 1 Maryland women’s lacrosse team erupted for 13 goals in the first half in an 18-5 victory at William & Mary Wednesday.
Maryland (10-0, 3-0 ACC) finished its three-game road swing with a balanced at effort at William & Mary as 10 players notched goals for the Terps, led by Brooke Griffin who recorded five. Katie Schwarzmann added six points on three goals and three assists and Alex Austposted a game-high four assists.
Katie Schwarzmann scored a career-high six goals as No. 2 Maryland picked up its first road victory 16-6 at No. 17 Penn State Sunday afternoon. Schwarzmann scored five of her six goals in the first half and also racked up a game-high six groundballs. Karri Ellen Johnson and Brooke Griffin also tallied two goals each as Maryland (3-0) won its third consecutive game by 10 or more goals. 6 men and 3 Lady Terps will be playing in the Under Armour All Star games featuring the best lacrosse players in the country entering their freshman year. The first game is at 5:30 followed by the Men’s game at 8PM at Towson. The Men’s game will be nationally televised live on ESPNU.
