Chen righted the ship after giving up 5 in the first. Davis, Hardy, Markakis and yes McLouth were the batting heroes. JJ got his 37th save. We are for real!
The Orioles are mired in a five game losing streak in which the pitching has been bad, the defense has been the worst in the major leagues, and the offense, which had been producing at a record pace, has been anemic. Buck is a great manager but it is obvious with the utter lack of pitching the Orioles are still a few years away from contending. The frustration of managing the Orioles could kill a donkey. We need to keep Buck in the system running the show.
Hmmm mm mm Vlady is benched. Nolan bats 3rd-game winner. Jones bats cleanup single double, HR. O’s Win. Vladimir still on the bench.
Kevin Gregg allowed 3 in the 9th and the O’s were so desparate Gonzo got the call to put out the fire. Not bad 2 saves in 2 years for the Free Agent closer.
I guess his ankle is better.
