The Mavs are gone fishing!! Mark Cuban was dreaming when he thought he stole Caron, Brendan, and Stevenson from the Wizards. Lots of points, rebounds, and minutes but they need to be given more time to rid themselves of the Wizards history. I forgot about Stevenson. Did he play? That’s about 15 different guys Cuban brought in to help … Read More »
Just watched the end of the Dallas Orlando game and the 2 new starters on Dallas —Brendan and Caron –seem to be meshing immediately into the team. having jason Kidd doesn’t hurt.
Let’s not sugarcoat what happened last night. Josh Howard and Drew Gooden are not in the future plans of the Wizards. The resigning of Gilbert has now completed its 100% whiplash, the team is in total freefall . Only Antawn is left and I am sure he wants out. I am speculating that the key reason for this … Read More »
When a NBA team plans its whole season on attempting to get the pick, this is what can happen. The cellar dwellers seem to remain in their status. There are rumors of a caron Butler for Tracy McGrady trade which would start the breakup of the Wizards as we have known them. It’s rebuilding time for the Bullets and next years team will not even resemble the 2010 squad.
Just for the record, I could have filled the entire list with big basketball moments. Here are some that could have been on the list:
2001-2002 Season—Steve Blake steals the ball fromJayson Williams and goes in for a layup as the half ends, as Terps manhandle the Devils at Cole. (from Avi and Greg)
2003 Season—Drew Nicholas hit a running jumper from 25 feet as the clock runs out giving the Terps a 1st round NCAA Victory over UNCC Wilmington. … Read More »
The death of their Abe Pollin put some perspective into the Wizards internal bickering as the Caron Butlerless Bullets eked out a 1 point win over Philly. Butler and Arenas are at odds lately which hopefullt can be cured with a couple of Ws. Some reaction to Abe’s death from ESPN.com:
“He would want us to celebrate his life and not mourn his death,” Wizards coach Flip Saunders said. “That’s just the individual he was. But when you’re here going … Read More »
Midway through the 2nd quarter , I just had to ask TNT’s David Aldridge, Ron Thompson, and others on Press Row who was wearing the #7 jersey for the Wizards. Surely it wasn’t Andre Blatche. 13-15 from the field. Incredibly aggrssive all over the court. What message did Flip get over to Andre. The kid was truely unbelievable. Gilbert dropped a 32 on the Nets playing only about 25 minutes. And yes, Ernie Grunfeld is hands down EXEC of the … Read More »
PINCH ME!!!! Was that the Wizards I was watching? I know it’s early but the trade for Mike Miller and Randy Foye is looking better and better. Ernie Grunfeld has performed brilliantly:
The hire of Flip Saunders brings energy and a new look team and the word team is emphasized.
The trade and Oberto has given this team depth it has not had in recent memory. Remember Antawn did not play tonight.
I forgot how great Gilbert can be.

Many guys on this team have a lot to prove this year. First and foremost is the former Agent Zero, Gilbert Arenas. Let’s see if he can put this team on his back while Antawn is recuperating. I do believe that Mike Miller will be a tremendous help as well as the return of Brendan Heywood gives this team big man depth it has never had. Here we go……………………………….
So Bruce you think the zards could now be contenders? You don’t understand. I coulda had class. I coulda been a contender. I coulda been somebody, instead of a bum, which is what I am, let’s face it. It was you, Charley. To me the only player that would have made sense to pick for the Wizards had they kept the 5th pick would have been Curry. I think he has great court sense, a great shooter, good ball handler … Read More »
