Let’s get it on. Five members of the 2002 National Championship, including 2 current NBA stars will suit it up for the Alumni Game at 10:30. Usually the game consists of Mitch Kasoff dominating play but this year might be different. (I do hope Mitch plays this year). What a great night it will be at College Park as the former Champions help kick off Mark Turgeon’s Maryland career.

I had mentioned last night on Mike Popovic’s 105.7 show thatI thought that PeShon and Stoglin might be tried together in the starting lineup and yes it has happened. Bowie and Mosley were replaced but are about to enter with 14 minutes left in the 1st half and the Terps  up12-10.

Root against Steve Blake, Juan Dixon, Shawne Merriman, Shaun Hill, Vernon Davis, Darrius Heyward Bey, Chris Wilcox?—-NEVER. So last night with his pitching career being scrutinized closely, I was hoping former Maryland closer, Breet Cecil pitched well for 6 or 7 innings … Read More »

After a trade to New Orlaens was nixed by Tyson Chandler failing his physical, the Oklahoma City Thunder sent the ex Maryland power forward to the New York Knicks for Malik Rose. “Chris is a gifted athletic big man that brings toughness and solidifies our interior defense,” Coach Mike D’Antoni said. Joe Smith also part of the failed trade, is rumored to be signing with the World Champion Boston Celtics.

Maybe the Wizards will send Juan to the Hornets.  In a move that looked like salary cap dumping the New Orleans Hornets sent once promising center Tyson Chandler to Oklahoma City for the 2 ex terps.Certainly Joe Smith is on the South end of a long NBA career but perhaps Wilcox can finally find a place to call home!!!  For more info on the trade check out Ex Terps Where are they now
