Pitching Comparisons

First things first.  I think it will be a big mistake if the Phillies don’t start Pedro Martinez in Game 2.  The reasons.  One Pedro is a big game pitcher who won’t be in awe pitching on the road at Yankee Stadium.  I don’t think it’s a good idea pitching lefties, Lee and Hamels back to back.  It gives the Yankees an advantage seeing pitchers throwing from basically the same angle back to back.  You want to change the eye level of the … Read More »

MY MAN, George Sherrill didn’t have it tonight, failing to hold the Phils at bay as the Dodgers lost at home 8-6. The HR to Ibanez was only the 2nd homer Sherrill has given up to a lefthander in the past 2 years. Brad Lidge cme in to record his 3rd post season save in 3 tries.

The Yankees will not have an easy time with the Angels–why—Vlad Guerrero.  I still believe if the O’s could have closed the deal when Vladimir was a free agent, we would not be in the mess we find ourselves today. Can we all see some light at the end of the tunnel. There is nothing like a 5 game winning streak to awaken sleeping fans. I like the tweaking of the lineup and substitutions Trembley is making.
