Jeff Reynold (23rd) and Dan Groot (26th), 2 tremendous Terrapin midfielders were selected by the Washibgton Bayhawks Thursday night. I addition the Bayhawks took Virginia Attackman Danny Glading and perhaps the best player in the draft, Matt Abbott of Syracuse.
Maryland placed four players on the 2009 USILA Men’s Lacrosse All-America teams, which were announced Thursday. Sophomores Ryan Young and Max Schmidt earned second and third team honors, respectively, while sophomore Grant Catalino and senior Dan Groot were honorable mention selections.

Dan Groot appeared on Terp talk last night in segment 1. He is a cool, collected leader of the team. It seems that over his career Dan has been the go to guy when the Terps back is up against the wall. It’s hard to comment onthis game because there wasn’t on any electrtonic media coverage but judging by the score 2 tings are clear, Maryland knew the importance of this game and the Terps played stifling defense limiting a very hot Penn team to only 2 goals. Certainly this was a game the Men’s Lacrosse team needed. Coach Cottle spread the minutes among the entire team as Binghamton was no match for the Terps who are now 7-5. The Terps travel to Penn this Saturtuday for a 4:30 match with the Quakers at historic Franklin Field.
