Yes it was the perfect storm. Of course the best part of it was that yes the Orioles played a major role in the dismantling of the Red Sox. what made it special was the timing of the endings and the improbabilities of the comebacks. Papelbon looked unhittable striking out AJ and Reynolds. But then the roof caved in on a team that has humiliated the O’s over the past decade. Let’s go back to July 8 when Francona found … Read More »
I am totally sick of the RED SOX AND RED SOX NATION. YOU CAN’T PITCH INSIDE TO BIG POPPY? Every time the Red Sox threw at BRob or Tejada the O’s took it. well finally last night, Kevin Gregg took on the guy who leans over the plate, the supposed great slugger who will never make the Hall. I wish I was wrong but watching these “games” is pathetic. Look for a disgruntled Melvin Mora to be released within the week or so.
Everything was the same at Camden Yards last night. Red Sox nation invaded and probably had 25.000 of the 44,000 in attendance. Poppy went deep. The Red Sox won. One of the great guys of baseball is—was David Ortiz. Now, he is relegated to Arod and Manny status.Too bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Will he get booed in Baltimore this weekend?
Arod, and Texeiera went deep again as the bullpen faltered and ended whatever chance the O’s could have had in 7 run 7th inning. The O’s #1 starter Jeremy Guthrie goes tomorrow against Phil Hughes. Meanwhile in Boston, Big Papi’s slump continues. The Red Sox might be looking Aubrey Huff’s way. Is it too early for the O’s to give up?
