Last year when NC State rifled the Champs Sports Bowl away from a more deserving Terrapin squad, I kept my mouth shut not trying to provoke the obvious. when Coach Tom O’Brien ridiculed the Maryland faithful, I could take it no longer. Maryland soundly thrashed the Wolfpack yet behind the scenes deals and manipulations probably cost the Terps the game and eventually Ralph his job. That is what I dislike about the ACC —it is a Carolina situation. Now I … Read More »
Direct from the Washington Post and then I will give you my take:
Mark Tuesday down as the day when the Gary Williams-Debbie Yow feud got real. Like, ugly and unpleasant and public and brutish and nasty and public and really, really real. The climax came during Yow’s N.C. State press conference Tuesday afternoon. “I don’t have a reputation across all men’s basketball as being difficult to work with,” Yow told chuckling reporters. “I have a reputation of not getting … Read More »

I never for a second believed that anything would become of it. after all, 4 years ago , she turned down the Stanford AD job, perhaps one of the most coveted in the country. In a story that won’t vanish, AD Debbie Yow reaffirmed Maryland’s committment to the ACC. Apparently the Big 10 has been wooing Maryland or at least is about to. One of the 7 charter members of the ACC, Yow had first stated her loyalty at the Baltimore Terrapin Club meeting 1 month ago.
As usual it was a great time at the Terps on Tour event in Baltimore tonight.
Athletic Director Debbie Yow opened up the event by immediately denying the rumors of the Big Ten wooing Maryland to join. She assured Commissioner Swofford that the Terps had no intention of even considering such a switch.
Debbie gave Ralph … Read More »
This was announced last night at F.O.G. (Friends of Gary) banquet. With Gary’s resume, I believe this should a no brainer.
What a great night to be a Terp. the M Club and Ziz put on a great show last night, highlighted by an incredible acceptance speech by 5 Time NCAA Championship Coach, Missy Meharg. Just a little impression on each of the inductees.

It’s gut check time today for Maryland. “I thought we had a good week of practice,” Friedgen said. “Right now we need to get a win. It would be very important for us. Obviously, I was hoping we would win last week so these guys start gaining some confidence. I still think we’ve played three good teams. Whatever the perception might be, Look for Adrian Cannon and DaRel Scott to have big games today.
