It took Rick Barnes to make Dino Gaudio look like a genius. Texas, overflowing with talent has been a major disappointment this year. But it was a tremendous play by Ish Smith —a 15 foot jumper as time was running out that led to the 1st win for the ACC in the tournament.

The general consensus is that a victory over Wake Forest tonight should virtually assure Maryland’s return to the dance. The win would move the Terps to 8-7 in the ACC with victories over #2 North carolina, #8 Michigan, and #10 Wake Forest.
