Maryland defender Ethan White has signed to play professionally with Major League Soccer’s D.C. United, becoming the squad’s fourth Homegrown player, the club announced Tuesday morning. White, a sophomore, progressed from United’s Academy to Maryland, where he led the Terps to back-to-back NCAA Quarterfinal appearances and a 2010 Atlantic Coast Conference title.
