This season seems like it has been forever with all the ups and downs.
After watching the replay, Eric Hayes was miraculous. He handled the Duke pressure, kept the offense running, found a way to score, defended well and simply kept the Terps in the game for the 11 2nd half minutes without Greivis.
Gerald Henderson is a flat out stud as well as being rough and tough as nails. Without him Duke is a 500 ACC team at best.
The 5th foul on Greivis was a ticky tack charge right in front of the Maryland bench. It would not have been so bad had not fouls 2, 3, and 4 were also of the non mugging variety. Henderson and Singler were puching clawing, the whole way through the game. Admittingly though Henderson was great, without him Duke is mediocre. To me Duke’s bench is very weak, though I don’t understand why Zoubek only got in for 8 minutes.
