The O’s are sure messing with Arietta’s psyche as another great performance goes down the drain in a 7-5 11 inning loss. But what the heck anyone can be a closer.
Jake Arietta again put in an excellent performance. He pitched 7 strong innings and left after giving a leadoff single in the 8th. I would guess Hill is going to be waived and Berken probably should go back to Norfolk. Tillman takes one spot and Liz the other. Liz has pitched well at Bowie and he does have some experience in the big leagues. I’d rather have the O’s send Liz out for 2-3 starts and see how he does and let Arietta and Patton continue starting at Norfolk. Matusz could be the dark horse here.
