I lost all respect for Manny the day he pushed down Boston’s 64 year old traveling secretary.

I was in LA this past weekend and journeyed out to Dodger Stadium with me son. Here are some observations:

Any day of the week , I would take George Sherrill over Jonathan Broxton. Torre must be asleep. Yes Sherrill did give up a 3 run dinger to Ibanez in Game 1 but when the chips were on the line Monday night, the ex Oriole struck out Ryan Howard with a tremendous mixture of pitches. Everything was the same at Camden Yards last night. Red Sox nation invaded and probably had 25.000 of the 44,000 in attendance. Poppy went deep. The Red Sox won. Oriole fans split after the team failed to deliver in the 8th. It was another meaningless loss for the O’s and another step towards the playoffs for Boston.

Let’s give Theo Epstein, GM of tne Red Sox, some real credit. Last year when Manny pushed down the Bosox’ 63 year old traveling secretary, Theo and the Boston brass knew it was time to dump Manny. Now the Dodgers have the albatross around their neck. Like Barry Bonds and Arod every accomplishment of Manny’s is suspect.El Loco is a hero no more.
