Remember the name Wynn Pelzer. That’s the gem the O’s got after wasting 5 million on Miggy. Wow Andy is some wheeler dealer!!! The Nationals traded ace reliever Matt Capps to the White Sox—stinks of a Sherrill trade.
Sandwiched around an amateurish defensive effort from the Orioles, were 5 homers from Wiggy, Adam Jones, Patterson, Tejada, and Luke Scott which led to an Orioles victory . The bullpen again was stellar which beckons the thought–don’t inject Gonzo into this bullpen. 21000 were in attendance for Matt Wieters bobblehead night.
Folks in Washington are battling for Nats tickets while Oriole fans are barely watching. As each day goes by everything gets worse.Adam Jones pathetically strikes out with bases loaded and 1 out in the 7th. The the ultimate a 2 run throwing error by Tejada on a fairly routine ground ball. I don’y know about you, but how many years do we have to endure being humiliated by the Yankees. It’s a joke and in some ways it’s easier not … Read More »
That’s 3 in a row. Tejada, Luke Scott, are turning it on –now if the weatherman would only give the O’s a break.
I was a little under the weather toda so I stayed home from work and watched the O’s game against NY —for about 50 minutes which were unbearable. On top of the fact there are so many dead outs in the lineup, the lack of timely hitting is killing the team.

Nothing like a victory to bring optimism back to the ballpark. All is right with the O’s for one night. Please don’y ever criticize Oriole fans as 30,600 showed up last night to see a 4-18 team. Okay maybe there were 7000 Sox fand present but still agreat crowd. Tejada had quite a game. He tied the game in the 8th with a 2 out solo dinger. Then Tejada got the game winning hit in the 10th.
Some problems however—Garrett … Read More »
I wonder if Ty Wigginton was dozing during baserunning 101. It’s incredible that a Major leaguer could get trapped like he did last night. The O’s did something they will regret–waste a STRONG effort by last year’s #1 Starter Jeremy Guthrie. Folks this schedule only gets tougher after we are done with Tampa. The players are serving up Trembley’s head on a silver platter. It’s just a sad situation.
Maybe it was a bad hop as Toronto manager Cito Gaston said, but this Oriole team is compiling reason after reason to explain losing. The natives are restless and it’s just not about Gonzo. The next 15 games are crucial!!!
If the guy can still hit and we can get him at a reasonable price, welcome home Miquel. Which begs the question –Why did we ever trade George Sherrill for a AA third baseman. Also, who did we get for Aubrey Huff. I wonder how many fans can answer that one.
Anyone who even plays golf casually must wonder, how can Tiger continue to make crucial shot after crucial shot. His tenacity, confidence, air of invincibility maybe even exceeds MJ. However, it’s time to shut it down for at least a couple of months for a proper healing process. Tiger should skip the British Open to ready himself for the PGA and the one Achilles heel to his repertoire, the Ryder Cup.
