What a great bounce back win for the Terps who moved to 7-1 and with Notre Dame losing 12-10 at home to St Johns, the Terps will wake up Monday morning back in the saddle at #1 again.
jay Carlson continued his torrid pace, scoring 3 goals one of which was an acrobatic behind the back shot.
Maryland dominated the entire game and led at the 2 minute mate mark 9-5 , when UVA put on a furious rally to … Read More »
Many of my thoughts on a GREAT DAY TO BE A TERP:
Unseeded again and in the Championship game—hmmmmmmmm
Snubbed by the All America selection commitee, but he scores 4 goals against a “great” defense–Drew Snider is his name
The post game celebration was subdued by Terrapin standards as the guys know that there is unfinished business
The interior passing was superb today. Kevin Cooper had 4 assists and Joe Cummings had 3
Stats –what are they? Groundballs Duke 27-23 … Read More »

One could not help but be emotionally involved in this Terrapin lacrosse family. It was so evident when you watched the jubilation of the bench every time something happened positive happened for Maryland on the field. What made Coach Tillman so upset today was the valiant effort on and off the field all year for Maryland. After the game ended I had a chance to commiserate with the Coach and he felt so bad for the Seniors, the team, the … Read More »
Some Random Observations of the game itself
Absolutely unbelievable—Middie Colin Briggs was suspended Saturday, one of many for Virginia over the year, and had that extra step to score 5 times and lead UVA to another title. When I first heard that Starsia didn’t play him on Saturday, I thought maybe this was a great move—resting a star of the team to have a physical edge. It is absolutely incredible that Steele Stanwyck had but one point and yet UVA … Read More »

After an exhausting 2 hour trek from Baltimore to Annapolis, I decided to view this game on CBS College Sports Network with Stan Goldstein at Rick Jaklitsch’s house. What a rainy, miserable night in Annapolis. But the Terrapins were able to take care of business easily defeating a Freshmen laden Navy squad squad. Curtis Holmes dominated the face offs early and Maryland jumped out to a 6-1 lead early and never looked back. Again it was the middies doing the … Read More »
Hats off to Coach Tillman and the entire squad for getting off the canvas after the brutal loss last week to Carolina and going into Virginia and easily defeat the Cavaliers. The story from umterps.com: Senior Ryan Young led the No. 10 University of Maryland men’s lacrosse team with six points oon two goals and four assists, while junior Joe Cummings and sophomore John Haus each scored four goals, in the Terps’ 12-7 victory over No. 4 Virginia in front of … Read More »
