Is Buck a miracle worker. How is it that every button he pushes turns out right. Last night he brings in Hendrickson to finish the game. 1-2-3—O’s are going for a sweep tomorrow!!! Great to see Nolan Reimhold go deep against CC.
Andy MacPhail made the right move. I am never in favor of managerial moves just for the sake of a move. Look how disastrous it has been for the O’s. The demise of the Birds this year was based on the dismissing of George Sherrill and Aubrey Huff. Joe Torre could not have won with this team. Dave Trembley has been given a 24th hour pardon. He knows what needs to be done. With the exception of Markakis and Wieters, … Read More »
The O’s need 3 wins to avoid the embarrassment of losing 100 games. I said it the day Sherrill was traded, that it was the forfeiture of the season. The bullpen blew another game last night. What I don’t understand is how in the 10th inning , Trembley had an outfielder strike out on a foul bunt with a runner on first. Someone please explain.
Weiters, Jones, Roberts, Markakis, Matusz, Tillman, Reimhold period.
Does it ever end. Last night Cesar Izturis forgot to check with his 3rd base coach when rounding 2nd base. “With Cesar Izturis on first base and one out, Brian Roberts hit a shot off the right-field wall. Izturis, who was running on the pitch, never picked up the ball as he slid into second and eventually headed back to first base. He finally turned around and started running, but he had to settle for getting to third base with one … Read More »
Chicago’s pitching collapsed on Sunday and the Orioles coasted to a 10-2 win on the strength of a strong pitching effort from #1 starter Jeremy Guthrie. Tomorrow night the O’s begin a 3 game series in New York.
A routine throw to first that was inexplicably dropped by Ty Wigginton opened the floodgates for the White Sox to score all 4 of their runs to deafeat the O’s 4-3. The one bright spot of the game was the the arms of the Orioles’ outfielders. Reimhold and Markakis each threw strikes to elimate 2 runs or more in the disastrous 5th inning.
One of my complaints about Manager Trembley is that he never seems to let out his anger or emotion. The interview after the 10-9 come from behind win over Boston was about as dull as one could be for the greatest comeback in O’s history. Last night Trembley just about went off the deep end objecting a botched call in the first. After getting tossed, Luke Scott said to him on the way in—Don’t worry skip we’ll get this one … Read More »
It was a great night for Dave Trembley or maybe every manager looks genius like vethe hapless Nats. Nolan Reimhold now looks like he might be fixed in the 5th position in the order. jeremy Guthrie laste 5 innings to get the win and George Sherrill had another fine performance in the 9th to get the save. I wll be going to the game on Sunday and doing live updates on Twitter.
They should have made the whole team come back to Baltimore in old school bus. When is Trembley going to wake up and take Mora out of the 5 hole. When is Trembley going to put Jones back in the 2 hole where he had such great success and leave him there. When is Trembley going to wake up and understand that Koji pitching 10 innings a month isn’t helping the team by being a starter. And Trembley should be … Read More »
I come to bury Trembley, not praise him. Hey, I’m happy the O’s won. And how many posts have a little Shakespeare in them? That’s Shakespeare the writer, not Shakespeare the guy who played wide-out for Miami Hurricanes. Yes the O’s showed some of the old Orioles magic but Trembley’s overmanaging and lack of flexibility hurt the team last night. Trembley tells his bench players a couple days in advance when they are going to play. He does this … Read More »
