Does Drew Rosenhaus ever not have a prime players in the NFK Draft? There were the Ravens poised to take the “controversial” Jimmy Smith with their 1st pick.  This was of course after the Ravens Bears trade fell through. So the question begs to be asked Did the Ravens really want Jimmy Smith?

Nobody does it better. A first class corner like Josh for a conditional draft pick. Look for Josh to start against the Jets. When Dominique comes back think about the Ravens starting corners!!! Some excerpts from the Sun article tonight:

“He’s an extremely fiery and aggressive player, and I think he’s very talented,” said Foxworth, who played with Wilson for three years at Maryland. “I know his personality fits into what we’re building here. Josh is a no-nonsense type of … Read More »

The time is now. The Ravens have answered virtually all of its needs during the off season. Every draft guru is grading the Ravens efforts last weekend at no less then a B+ with most giving Ozzie an A for the results. Sergio Kindle and Terrence Cody were in the 1st rounds of almost every expert around. … Read More »

Every Ravens fan knows what a great job the execs did. Mel Kiper validated the efforts by giving the Ravens an A for their work. here is his synopsis:

Summary: For top grades, it’s a contrast in styles. Seattle had high picks and got great fits, then waited and got Golden Tate. Baltimore traded down and still loaded up on … Read More »

Why in the world would the Ravens want to break up their tackle tandem. If there is so much desire to move Oher to the left side then just switch them. Gaither’s size and experience are hard to match. In the games he missed last year, the right side was very weak when Oher moved. I also believe … Read More »

Last Thursday night, I had the pleasure of being at the Sports Boosters/ Press Box Night with Eric DeCosta, director of player personnel of the Ravens. To the best of my memory here is tale of the drafting of Joe Flacco.

One of the Ravens area scouts called Eric and told him to take a much closer look at Flacco, ie this scout believed Flacco was far superior then most people thought. DeCosta first watched Flacco take apart the Navy … Read More »

I was talking with Gary Attman, a big time Maryland supporter and booster, last night when he brought up a great point to me.  Ozzie took a lot of heat for passing on the likes of DHB, Crabtree, Hakeem Nicks, etc. Though the Ravens need a deep threat, Ozzie let all of these speedsters go and concentrated on the Offensive line. Exhibition season means very little but the quality of protection for #5 allowed him to destroy every defense he … Read More »

For years the Ravens offense consisted of field position and using #3 Matt Stover to nail any field goal inside 40 yards. Touchdowns have been brutal to come by. Finally, after Dilfer, Grbak, Boller, etc we finally have an offense led by #5 that can score. But lo and behold, there is no confidence in our FG kicker. Ozzie you have proven to be right in almost every move. But now lets admit we jettisoned Stover too quickly, and bring … Read More »

This is no knock at the Ravens other receivers, but in  my opinion they will go nowhere without Derrick. Everyone is jumping on theis a sure handed receiver something edd Drew Bennett bandwagon but he is not  the Answer. DERRICK MASON  Must Be SIGNED!

Ravens

Joe Platania called it on Terp Talk 2 weeks ago, when he said Bennett would be a likely candidate to replace Derrick Mason. His prediction came through as the Ravens signed Bennett to a 1 year deal.
