Some thoughts 7 hours after the game:
Where are the Ed Reed naysayers now? What a tremendous game for #20. He just seems so physically susceptible. Ed was in the right place almost every crucial play. Apparently, his injury on the last play of the game was nothing serious. “Ed Reed is one of the greatest safeties to ever play this game.”—Ray Lewis
Everyone including myself said a rookie QB can’t come into M&T and defeat the Ravens. TJ didn’t … Read More »
The Ravens never do it easily. Just when you thought it was over, it wasn’t. As expected the Bengals were throwing to the end zone as the game ended. Ladarius might have gotten away with a little interference at the end but so what.
Ray Rice was incredible as always. How could the entire NFL pass him almost twice. Ricky Williams filled in admirably as he passed the 10,000 yard plateau.
The key play of the game went to 55 … Read More »
Just some quick takes on a routine TCB victory on the road
Ray Rice 27 carries for 204 yards says it all—you rarely lose when you rush for a deuce
Flacco managed the game well but looked helter skelter in the red zone
Message to Cam. 4th and 1. Have Flacco under center with leach and haloti behind him. Take the snap and have Vonta and Haloti push Joe over—-simple game
3 straight wins without 52—-hmmmmmmmmmmmmm
So the Ravens and … Read More »
If Ray Rice has the stomach flu the Ravens are in trouble. To me he is the key to victory. Because of the schedule, the Ravens need to be rested during cruchtime. How will that happen? Ray Rice needs to run for 100 yards.
Almost every prognosticator, betting sheet, so called expert says the Steelers will emerge victorious. … Read More »
I hope no one is shocked. The Saints can pull their cheap shot bully tactics on many teams and get away with it, but not in Baltimore. The Ravens ran the ball down the Saints throats. Some observations of the victory that moves the Ravens to 10-4:
Is our punter Koch a magician. Game after game, he pins the opponents concistently inside the 10.
Ray Rice -153 yards rushing–an incredible performance.
We can’t criticize the play calling today. 4th … Read More »
YAWWWWWWWWNNNNNNN –Generally a boring game but a victory nonetheless moving the Ravens to 8-3 with a showdown with Pittsburgh next Sunday night.
It looks like Mason’s whining strategy worked as Flacco only looked his way for most of the game. Mason had 8 catches for 85 yards and a few drops.
I especially was pleased the way the Ravens put the game away –throwing on 2nd down for a first that sealed the victory.
Tampa just seemed to be content … Read More »
It’s very annoying to keep reading and seeing the ongoing problems #5 is having keeping his receivers happy. To his credit Anquan Boldin, clearly the best of the 3 hasn’t gotten involved in this mess. Has Ozzie brought too much talent in? The team is 7-3 with 4 of the 6 remaining games at home , yet you would think a collapse is imminent. Solution: Ray get involved—keep the in house everyday problems inside the clubhouse. You played for a … Read More »
It’s not like the Ravens didn’t have chance after chance to win this game. I for one still cannot understand why Ray Rice gets 28 runs, 8 receptions, and probably 3 more missed passes when the Offense has been so improved. By my count out 69 plays 39 had #27 written all over it. Now after a while doesn’t it become clear who you have to overplay. The offense though still too conservative for me, was somewhat effective in the … Read More »
Well. I was wrong –it was not a close game. The Ravens were never seriously threatened and the final score did not represent the one sidedness of the game. Some observations:
A special thanks to the idiot who parked in my assigned space. I was 10 minutes late for the start of the game.
Must have been 100 degrees in the upper deck on the sun side.
Flacco deserved an award today for the grief he probably took in … Read More »
