Roy Williams has 5 starters who will play in the NBA. This was not a close game. The Running Rebels pick and rolled Carolina to defeat. Unbelievable. By the way the Orleans is a fascinating hotel off the strip. What stands out in my memory is the phenomenal raw bar.
Towon lost to Oregon State 66-46 with President Obama and Bill Murray looking on.
These are in order of how I feel they could happen:
—Goes to spotlight city ==New York—to play alongside Amare
—Stays in Cleveland –why I don’t know
—Goes to Miami—to play with Dwade and Bosh—would be his best play–no state Tax===surrounded by superstars

“You have to congratulate Maryland. I thought Gary’s team in the first half, 9-for-16 from the 3-point line really just killed us. We cut it from 16 down to four and turned it over twice in a row. We get back in it in the … Read More »
Carolina now is 1-5 on the road. They are not a power!! Early in the game Roy subbed the entire starting team and lectured them while his Freshman non starters were playing. I wonder how they felt when they watched the replay. I said it 3 weeks ago—Maryland might be much better then most people think in the ACC. The Terps have to play the games 1 at a time butI am beginning to have a good feeling. A win … Read More »
I said it the other night on the Terrapin Pregame Show on ESPN–The ACC is just not as strong as it has been. This will lead to the Terps doing better then expected. I wonder the reaction of the polls to Carolina’s loss last night to Charleston. Bobby Cremins exposed the weakness of the Tar Heel’s perimeter defense. On equal grounds we all know that Gary will outcoach any of his rivals in the ACC. Again I anxiously await Super … Read More »
When New Orleans should have lost to the Redskins, I kind of felt the bubble was bursting. Now it’s obvious, the Saints are in a fade mode after losing to December’s worst–Dallas.
The eyes of Texas will be on the basketball team come March. The big guy is awesome–remind me of a young Shaq. One word of advice for Rick Barnes–you might want to practice against the full court press because you will be seeing a lot of it.

“This year we played North Carolina at our place and it was one of the greatest games I’ve ever been involved in. Because we won. But it was a game where we were probably like a 12-point underdog or something like that, and one of the things I do as a coach is it starts at about 12 o’clock, you start getting nervous for an 8 o’clock game, and coaches are control freaks for the most part, so you’d like … Read More »
North Carolina will save face for the ACC tonight. After watching the Tar Heels thoroughly thrash Villanova by taking advantage of its length defensively, I expect much more of the same tonight. It’s ironic that both National Championship Games are rematches of earlier season matches. UConn destroyed Louisville twice and will repeat the same onTuesday night in the Women’s final. I remember watching Carolina early in the 2nd half against Michigan State the first time. The Heels were up by … Read More »
This game bothers the heck out of me. So the #3 Tar Heels who gave up 91 points to this same Terrapin Team can’t lose. Believe Gary will find a way to keep the Terps in it. I believe the Terrapins are sick and tired of hearing how they have no chance. Sorry for my ranting, but I am reminded of Denny Green-these are the Tar Heels that can have a bad day. Do you think Ellington can have 2 … Read More »
Was that the same Miami team who the Terps thoroughly dominated last Saturday night? Did the Hurricanes destroy the Wake Forest Demon Deacons? How pathetic was the Duke team that got destroyed by Trevor Booker and the Clemson Tigers? Did Terrence Oglesby mockingly try to stuff the ball and further humilate Duke. Was that performance by Duke worthy of a tean that was #1 10 days ago? I didn’t realize that Coach K relies on Lance Thomas to tonguelash … Read More »
