I am not a big Virginia Tech fan. I am not a big Seth Greenberg fan. However when a team is 11-8 in conference play with a victory over Duke, it should be included in the big dance, I know if it was Maryland, I would be screaming. I wonder what the Commissioner will have to say.
We all know it. Game after game the Terps just get nipped. It’s time when this must be turned around. Last game at College Park, Erick Green was on fire hitting 12-16. With Singleton’s injury at FSU the Terps will be favored to win their remaining home games, which means to achieve the goal of 10 conference victories wins over the Hokies and Canes seem to be a must. Look for the following tonight:
–Cliff Tucker is more then do … Read More »
Tonight needs to be that game that begins to turn the season around for Maryland. it will not be an easy task as the opponent always gives Maryland fits. Senior Malcolm Dulaney, fron Baltimore leads the Hokies in most categories and is certainly the heart of the team. Forward Jeff Allen has been a thorn in the side of the Terps for years. Hopefully Jordan Williams and the rest of his mates overcome the free throw problem that has plagued … Read More »
Just an incredibly fantastic game tonight as the Terrapins moved to 11-3 setting up a first place game against Duke Wednesday night at Comcast. Let’s go over some high points of the game.
Is there any doubt Senor Vasquez is ACC Player of the Year, Along with 41 points, he had 7 assists, and 6 rebounds. When the Terrapins trailed … Read More »
Seth Greenberg –I don’t forget. It was February 20, 2008 and the Hokies had just upset Maryland 69-65 at Comcast. Ok it was a good road win for Virginia Tech but then Seth had to ruin it. He walked by the Maryland bench as he was leaving and leaped in the air shaking his fists at the parents section. … Read More »
Six days ago the Terps and Virginia Tech were tied for 2nd and both were complaining about not being ranked. Oh what a difference a week makes. With 10 conference wins the Terps are no longer part of the bubble discussion. Each win of the final 3 conference games for Maryland will catapult them up the seeding … Read More »
The confusion during the last play was just one of a hundred plays so go easy on laying the game on Greivis’ shoulders.
If Greivis leaves as has been said, what an opportunity for Lance Stephenson to come in and be surrounded by experienced players and still get plenty of PT.
It looks like the Terps will need wins over NC State and Wake Forest to advance into the dance. Virginia Tech had its opportunity to get to 8-8 but … Read More »
The Virginia Tech Hokies enter the game today 6-3 in the ACC coming off 2 consecutive wins. The Terrapins are 4-5 after its 1st road win of the year. Virginia Tech has a recent history of handling the Terps including a win last year at Comcast and a subsequent semi disgraceful display of emotion by Coach Seth Greenberg. So then why are Terps favorite to win today. Because everyone knows that with each game the season is on the … Read More »
commen-v-tech.WMA Poor outside shooting by Greivis and foul trouble on James Gist and Bambale contributed to a very disappointing loss to Virginia Tech yesterday. Greivis was 2-12 from the field, including 0-7 from beyond the arc. After Jeff Allen sunk a free throw to give Tech its final 1 point lead, Vasquez drove to about 20 ft from the rim and lofted a prayer that was not even close to going in. He admitted after the game … Read More »
