Everyone asks me –are you upset about losing Mason. My answer is Lee Evans is a tremendous upgrade. He can stretch the field and remember he has been mired in Buffalo. The Ravens need to step up offensively and I believe they have done so with Leach, Evans and Pitta. Remember McClain was disgruntled and Pitta hopefully can stay healthy unlike Heap. Don’t take me wrong Heap and Mason are warriors but we could not close the deal with them. … Read More »
It was Judgment Day for Billy Cundiff yesterday in the overtime. And unlike Hauschka last year, Billy passed with flying colors. I like his magic kick off shoe, he switches to after every FG or PAT.
Todd Heap seems to be ko’d every game.
I had originally said that Ed Reed should be held out of the game yesterday and not used until the by week was over. Without Ed Reed we lose yesterday.
There will be no more … Read More »
Supposedly this was Brandon’s first offense. Maybe that’s why there was no suspension. But from now the NFL will crackdown on these unnecessary life threatening hits. If the game is changed a bit because of the new rulings –so be it. We all should accept this.
Comments on a relatively easy victory:
Joe Flacco had 4 TD passes and utilized Todd Heap and Demetrius Williams much more.
The most bewildering part of this game was where did all the snow go. The Ravens ground crew should be put in charge of snow removal.
Ex-Terrapin Dominique Foxworth had 2 ints –his best performance as a Raven
The Ravens now control their own destiny—2 wins and we are in. In fact if Cincy continues its free fall the … Read More »
I cannot believe that the Ravens were ready to play today. Could it be that Ed Reed’s absence DEFLATED THE TEAM. SOME POINTS I WANT TO GET OUT:
With a minute to go, it appeared as if the Ravens were running out the clock–not even going for the endzone–the plays that were called were idiotic —
Were you screaming NOOOOOOOOOOO as #5 through th pass against the grain and was intercepted?
Chris McAlister left his mark on this team–#21′ s … Read More »
Some observations of the game where the many fans got their wish to see the Ravens run more.
Was Brian Billick brought back to design the offensive game plan.
The Ravens were outplayed across the board yet were in clear position to win.
When you are on the road, all you can ask for is to have the ball at the end of a game with a chance to win. Carson Palmer pulled it off. Mark Clayton dropped the ball.
Very few NFL games are never in doubt. This was one of them. My observations:
The 2 Maryland guys had stellar performances today. Foxworth intercepted Brady Quinn early and set the Ravens’ first TD. Jared Gaither had 2 key blocks that opened the way for Willis McGahee’s 2 TDs.
#5 continues to be real steady. Judgement day for Joe and the offense occurs next Sunday at Foxboro.
Too bad about the Steelers losing again. Albeit without the idiotic “prevent defense … Read More »
Forget the final 17-13 score, the Ravens thoroughly dominated the Panthers tonight. Steve Smith was virtually shut out by ex-Terp Dominique Foxworth. #5 was 23-27 and 247 yards. Ozzie’s decision to go with added strength at the Oline is paying off as Flacco had all day to pass. Ray Rice turned in an excellent performance. I have a hunch that we haven’t seen the last of Matt Stover. Before I forget Todd Heap returned to the team after a 3 … Read More »
Everyone knows I take Terp losses real hard, so I was not in the best of moods Sunday as I drove to the stadium to watch what i thought would be a Ravens uninspired loss. This is the lesson I learned: I will never pay attention to preseason games again. #20 #22 #21 and unfortunately #86 all played (Reed, Rolle, McCallister and Heap) and the Ravens behind brilliant play stratgy from OC Cam Cameron dominated Cinci. Flacco displayed tremendous poise … Read More »
