Great day for Will. Bellichick will rue the day he let him go.
The Patriots may be going with two tight ends after all…
I’m told the club has informed undrafted free agent Will Yeatman of his impending relaease, though he’ll likely be back on the practice squad (unless he’s claimed).
Yeatman was a former lacrosse player from Maryland who was raw but impressive. Perhaps he’ll develop on the practice squad. Bill Belichick likes him, so I bet he gets the chance.

Beyond the two Terps (Torrey Smith and Da’Rel Scott) that drew the most expected attention at Maryland’s Pro Day last Wednesday on campus was senior tight end Will Yeatman, who may have made the best case for himself for a shot at the next level.
Yeatman, who first attended Notre Dame to play both lacrosse and football, transferred to Maryland to play two seasons of lacrosse and one, last year, of football. After the season, the 6-6 1/2, … Read More »
Incredibly Will Yeatman is #30 at Tight end for the NFL draft. My beyt is that he gets taken ina late round and easily makes the big show. The guy is a giant but a really nice and classy guy. Great interview in Inside Lacrosse.
By the way game time is 3:30 PM on ESPN2.. I hope the answer is yes to the headline question. Beating NC State will be no picnic but the motivation is there. Certainly a bowl in Nashville against say the Volunteers would represent an excellent season.
Look for Danny OBrien to have a big game Saturday. Perhaps with the pressure of a huge game , #5might have been under wraps. Not next Saturday there is absolutely nothing to lose. A … Read More »

I am not surprised in the least. I have had the pleasure of watching Will on the lacrosse field for 2 years. He takes a pounding and more then dishes out one and never complains about the physical attacks he absorbs because of his size. I have watched Will leave 2 or 3 defenders in his wake. Terrapintimes.com reports that Will is displaying great catching instincts — if this is true I can’t wait to watch him shred tacklers after … Read More »
terrapintimes.com is reporting that Maryland might have a go to tight end and that of course is Will Yeatman. Yea that Will Yeatman who was such a force on the lacrosse team for 2 years. TT is also reporting that perhaps Yeatman might be applying for another year of eligibily to play for John Tillman. We will … Read More »

Terps over Notre Dame—-Scott Rodgers has been gtreat in the nets for the Irish, But Brian Phipps has been at least his equal. There is just a talent advantage on the Maryland team. Last year Maryland went to South Bend and defeated Dame with Rodgers in the cage. Look for Maryland’s scoring to be spread out again with playmaker Ryan Young leading the way.
Duke over North Carolina—-Duke has been on the rise. Max Quinzani, Ned Crotty, and Josh … Read More »
