Thoughts on NBA Draft

Dez is actually better off not being drafted in the 2nd round.  He can pick the teams he wants to try out for. 2nd round picks do not have guaranteed contracts.

Just a note–Andrew Harrison –a 2nd round pick.  Aaron Harrison bypassed. Lost in the Kentucky wilderness. Calipari wasn’t so great for the twins. Now we know why Dad look depressed the day of the announcement to Kentucky. They would have showcased at Maryland rather then role players for passing the ball to the Kentucky bigs.

Let’s see where Melo is drafted next year. On nbadraft.net Melo and Diamond are projected as 1st rounders next year.

Quinn Cook bypassed.

Decision time–Portland or the Orioles for Pat Connaughton. A no brainer in my eyes–O’s

Frank Kaminsky 9th to the Hornets.

Phil Jackson is getting roasted in New York for selecting a project, Kristaps Porzingis.

For my thoughts, the Lakers got the best player in the draft in D”Angelo Russell.

Justin Anderson was selected in the 1st round by Dallas with the 21st pick.

I like Okafor over Towns—-he led Duke to the title with much less talent then Kentucky. Okafor has tremendous inside moves on offense.

love to see dez in the nba but gut feeling if he wants to play pro ball b he should learn to speak spanish or hebrew.

okafor..not a great rebounder or defensive player…terrific offensively. you forget he had winslow the number 10 pick and jones also a number one pick on his team. that’s a lot of great talent.

no matter where the harrison’s would have gone to school they still would be slow and not very athletic. much easier to dominate in high school for guards that are 6-5 then in college.

as for connaughton. he is a terrific b ball player with a 44 inch vertical jump, solid game, great court sense and i’m guessing b ball is his first love. if hoops doesn’t work out he’ll be welcome by the o’s or another team.
