Terps Land Another DMV Commit

A post by Mason Viener

Last night Walt Bell tweeted a familiar GIF featuring the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles yelling “cowabunga!” in celebration. The GIF has grown into a custom to the Maryland faithful, representing the Terps have receiving a verbal football commit. Raymond Bonne’s verbal is the second UMD to DMV commit in the last two days.

Four days ago, the Terps received the verbal of 4-star Offensive Tackle Jalen Duncan of St. Francis Academy. Friday’s (three days ago) catch is Raymond Boone from Eleanor Roosevelt High School of Greenbelt, Maryland. Boone is a member of the 2018 class, he is listed as a 5’11 safety, and is the first defensive back of the 2018 class, adding on to the four-current freshman defensive backs. Boone is considered one of the best raw athletes in the DMV, he is also has tremendous upside for the Terps to develop. This commit takes the Terps to the currently 25 best recruiting class for 2018.
