Melvin Keihn leaves Maryland

Melvin Keihn has left Maryland, this was first reported by InsideMdSports, it was later confirmed by Testudo Times.

Keihn will be a fifth-year grad transfer and will be immediately eligible at wherever he chooses to continue his playing career.

This will be the third school the BUCK linebacker will suit up for. In 2014 the 3 star started his college football journey with Virginia Tech, Keihn then transferred to Maryland in 2015. He sat out a year due to NCAA transfer rules and then played in 22 games across two seasons for the Terps, totaling 30 tackles.

Keihn was more than a Football player to many, his story was nationally televised and struck the hearts of many. Keihn left War Torn Libya at just eight years old and didn’t see his mother again for fourteen years, the story was done in retrospective form by both ESPN’s College Gameday and BTN.

On the football field the Terps will be just fine without Keihn, whose position is covered by Bryce Brand and Jessie Aniebonam
