Terps Hold Off Charlotte –Win 76-72 on the Road

For about 25 minutes, we got the first glimpse of what the Terps are capable of offensively, as they exploded to a 20 point lead.  James Gist perhaps had his finest game as a Terp, scoring 25 including key buckets down the stretch. Unfortunately many Terp fans were unable to watch the game due to the fact it was only on ESPNU. Since the American loss, the Terps have won 3 straight to move to 9-6 heading into Tuesday night’s match-up with Holy Cross at the Comcast Center.  Gary has the team playing with much more intensity, with its defense creating many transition baskets.  The #5 Lady Terps demolished Clemson 110-46 and await Duke next Monday night at Comcast.
