Terps Dominate Cal 35-27—Turner Stellar

“They outplayed us, plain and simple,” said Tedford.  Some observations to all my bearinsider.com fans.

What was Tedford thinking about coming to College Park less then 24 hours before the game?

Cal was not ready for stifling humidity!!!!

As I predicted Maryland got on top, gained confidence and kept the crowd in the game!!

Best was amazing but the Terps’ ability to tackle in the open field(long a weakness) kept him under control.

Turner was awesome 15-20 and in total control of the game.

Obi’s missed FG late in the game signals the advent of Nick Wallace as placekicker.

After a rocky start, Cal QB Kevin Riley played excellent amassing over 400 yds.

Kentucky 20 Mid Tenn State 14 says something but what I am not sure.

Hats off to the coaching staff and players for a great gut check win over #23 in the nation.  See you in Berkeley next year and I don’t think Cal will overlook the Terps in 2009.
